BREAKING: Another weird turn by Brian Walshe
Pleads guilty to two "lesser" charges ahead of jury selection
Just as jury selection was set to begin this morning in the murder trial of Brian Walshe for the killing of his wife, Ana, the case took another strange turn. Walshe informed the judge that he was pleading guilty not to the murder of his wife, but two charges related to her death: willfully conveying a human body and misleading a police investigation.
He did not enter a guilty plea for the homicide of his wife. Sentencing for these two admissions of guilt will come at the end of the trial, said Judge Diane Freniere.
I suspect that he will now try to either 1) claim his wife’s death was an accident, or 2) claim he found her dead in their home and panicked. Either way, one wonders why he didn’t make these claims during the investigation. Perhaps this is in part why he is pleading guilty to misleading the investigation.
Stay tuned.
